Knowledge exchange at the FHIR DevDays

At the beginning of June, the MOLIT Institute and MOLIT Service GmbH (MSG) participated in the FHIR DevDays in Amsterdam – a leading forum for developers and experts working on the advancement and application of the FHIR standard. The event offered the opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest developments and innovative approaches in the field of interoperable health data processing through expert lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on workshops.

Both organizations actively contributed to the content of the conference with their own presentations: The MOLIT Institute presented strategies for data transformation for scientific research purposes, while MSG introduced concepts for the controlled sharing of sensitive health data in clinical contexts. The program was further enriched by a contribution from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences on the IPS (International Patient Summary) Challenge, in which the MOLIT Institute participated by successfully processing various clinical use cases.

The event offered deep insights into current trends and experimental uses of AI in the FHIR environment, advanced analysis methods, and perspectives on the future development of the FHIR standard. Discussions and exchanges with other stakeholders were seen as especially valuable for future developments and potential collaborations.
