The workshops start on Monday, March 18th 2019.There are three workshops with about 20 participants each and teams of moderators. Diverse perspectives like medicine and IT are considered by addressing different target groups.

 

Workshopsessions: Monday, 03/18/2019 2:00 – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 03/1/2019 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.		Developing and implementing a molecular tumor board Actual molecular tumor boards are shown as an example for the structure and regular implementation. Focusing on organizational and technical optimization, the participants actively discuss and introduce their personal experiences.
Workshopsessions: Monday, 03/18/2019 2:00 – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 03/1/2019 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.		Interoperability of knowledge databases There is a great diversity of data sources worldwide which e.g. provide information on genetic alterations of cancer diseases. However, linking and evaluating the data can be quite difficult. On one side there is semantic interoperability, which means joining data of the same type from different databases. On the other side we have to consider technical interoperability, which focuses on standardized interfaces. Achieving interoperable databases allows us to use knowledge worldwide for decision support in everyday clinical practice.

However, personalized medicine focuses on customized therapies for one single patient. Participants discuss possible solution approaches for selected topics (immuno-oncology, DNA repair, cell cycle).
